The reverse light switch basically ensures that the warning lights are active when the vehicle is put into reverse.

In addition, it provides activation of the warning sound, which is used to attract the attention of pedestrians and other drivers in some vehicles with limited vision, such as large trucks and pickup trucks.

Failure Causes:

• Corrosion on bulbholder and wiring terminals.
• Cracks and deformation, excessive mechanical stress.
• Blown fuse, check if two reversing lights go together.

Signs Of Failure:

• Reversing light is not working.
• Lights are working when you are not in reverse.
